Sparkly Vintage

Image

Hey guys! I think I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I am obsessed with rose patterns! I also love anything vintage 🙂 Today’s design is a mix of both. This design was really quick and easy, and I’m loving the color combo. What do you guys think? Are any of you obsessed with rose patterns like I am?

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!

Image

Hey everyone! Today I’m sharing my last holiday/Christmas manicure of the season. *sad face* I had so much fun doing holiday designs this year – they are some of my favorite to paint! This manicure is a recreation of one I saw on Pinterest, and I will be wearing it on Christmas 🙂 I love that it doesn’t have traditional Christmas colors, but it still looks nice and winter-y. Do you guys prefer this type of holiday manicure, or do you like the more traditional designs?

DIY Bath Salts

ImageHey guys! With the holiday’s coming up, I thought I would post a nice little DIY gift idea for you all! These bath salts are SO easy to make, and they make great gifts! The also work really well 🙂 So why not give them a try this holiday season? Lets get started on how to make them!

I got the directions on how to make these from this blog: My Delicious Ambiguity. I copied and pasted her directions because they explain the process well 🙂

What you need:
-2 cups  Epsom salts
-1 cup coarse salt
 -1 cup baking soda
-2-3 drops food coloring (optional)
-5-7 drops of essential oil

What to do:
-Mix Epsom salts, baking soda and coarse salt together in a medium
stainless steel mixing bowl using a mixing spoon.
– Add the food coloring and essential oil then quickly stir to avoid clumping.
More food coloring can be added, depending on how dark you would like your bath salts to be.  However, be careful that it is not too dark as some colors can stain the skin.
-Let mixture sit in the bowl until the oil and food coloring is COMPLETELY DRY
and ensure there are no clumps before packaging.
-These look beautiful packaged in decorative jars with ribbon and gift tags.
They also look fantastic if you split your mixture in half before adding the food coloring
so you can layer the colored bath salts with the non-colored bath salts in your decorative jar.
-To use add 1/3 to 1/2 cup to your next bath.

I made my jar labels on the website Edit Monkey (Which is an amazing website by the way!). If you would like some labels that are already made, just follow the link to the blog I got the directions from – she was kind enough to include some labels in her post 🙂
That’s all for today! Will you be giving this fun DIY a try? Thanks for reading! ♥

DIY Frilly Hair Accessories

Image

Hey everyone! I’ve been obsessed with making these hair accessories lately! They look so pretty once they are done, not to mention they are so fun to make. I used some scraps of lace and fabric I had lying around to make these. You can totally customize them to fit your style, and of course I had to deck mine out with floral prints and lace hehehe 🙂 I think these would make really nice homemade gifts!  Would you guys ever like to see a tutorial on how to make these? Let me know if you would!
