Sunny Sunflowers

Image

Hello lovelies! Today I have a springy design to share ^_^ I saw sunflower nails recently on Pinterest and it totally inspired me to try out the flowers! I usually only do roses on my nails, so this was a little different, and I have to say I’m really liking it! I went in more abstract direction with the design, and I also added a green ombre to my ring finger and thumb. What do you guys think?

DIY Glitter Jars ♥

Image

Hey guys! Today’s post is going to be a pictorial on how to make these super easy glitter jars! The pictures are not doing these justice – they are so super glittery and look so cute! It’s a great way to re-use all of those jars from food that you might throw away otherwise. You could also stick a fake battery operated candle (only use a fake candle) inside one of these for a really pretty candle. I tired it and it works great 🙂 I got this from a DIY video that Bethany Mota uploaded around Valentines Day last year. Without further ado, lets get on with the simple tutorial!

Image

Step 1. Gather your supplies. You will need a clean, label-free jar, spray adhesive, glitter of your choice, and random stuff to decorate the jar with. Some ideas are ribbon, jewels, stickers, etc. I used fabric for my ribbon!

Step 2. Take your jar and clean it off, making sure there is no residue left on it from a label.

Step 3. Take your spray adhesive and lightly spray the inside of the jar – make sure the whole inside is covered with adhesive so glitter will stick everywhere. Poor a reasonable amount of glitter in the jar and put the cover on it. Shake the glitter around until you see the whole inside is covered and sparkly 🙂 Take off the cover and tap the jar upside down on some paper so the excess glitter is removed.

Step 4. Cut some ribbon or fabric and tie it around the jar. You can decorate it however you want. It’s up to you!

Step 5. Stick what you want in it – I used fake flowers, as you wouldn’t want to use real flowers – putting water in the jar would ruin it.

That’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. These are ridiculously easy to make, aren’t they? I hope you give them a try 🙂

DIY Frilly Hair Accessories

Image

Hey everyone! I’ve been obsessed with making these hair accessories lately! They look so pretty once they are done, not to mention they are so fun to make. I used some scraps of lace and fabric I had lying around to make these. You can totally customize them to fit your style, and of course I had to deck mine out with floral prints and lace hehehe 🙂 I think these would make really nice homemade gifts!  Would you guys ever like to see a tutorial on how to make these? Let me know if you would!

Cupcake Liner Flowers Pictorial

Image

Hey everyone! I haven’t posted a crafty post in forever! That is going to change today 🙂 I recently saw “cupcake liner flowers” on Pinterest, and I decided to try them out! I added my own twist to them, and I thought I would make a little pictorial for you guys if you are interested in making them.

Lets get on with the tutorial, shall we?

Image

1. Gather your supplies. You will need some cupcake holders, markers, scissors, circles of cardstock that will fit in the bottom of the cupcake holders, glue, tape, and sparkly things (glitter, rhinestones, etc.).

2. Use your marker to color the rim of the cupcake holder. You don’t need to make this perfect. I like the way it looks when the marker is a little uneven – the flower ends up looking more realistic.

3. Cut the petals of the flower. Do this by cutting out small triangles in the holder. You can make as many petals as you want!

4. Round the edges of the petals (this is optional), and glue or tape the circle of cardstock in the middle of the flower.

5. Create a circle of glue in the middle of the cardstock circle, and cover it with your sparkly things! Rhinestones, or even a button in the middle would look cute. Add whatever makes you happy 🙂

That’s it! I love the way these turn out – they are so delicate and pretty! I also like to tape them on twine to create a cute garland – it looks adorable hanging on a wall or over a window!

I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for reading!

Intricate Floral

Hey guys! Today I’m sharing a floral design I recently did. I took inspiration from a little piece of pottery I have, and I really love the way it turned out! I don’t do intricate designs all that often, but I had so much fun painting this.

Summer Floral Nails

Since it’s summer, I decided to make a bright floral design. When I was trying to figure out a design to paint, a summer dress of mine caught my eye. I loved the floral print, so that was my inspiration! I think these turned out really nicely – they are bright and fun, and are sure to catch someones eye! If you’re ever trying to find inspiration for nail designs, take a look in your closet. Chances are there will be a print you want to re-create 🙂
